As many of you probably noticed, this past week many servers have been up and down do to hardware problems, and problems with the cursed Cerf.Net. For a while there, it seemed like everytime you logged in there was a patch message saying "maintenance scheduled for such and such time...". Well Brad McQuaid had the following to say about this on the usenet group...
I assure you that both Verant and Cerfnet are moving as
quickly as possible to rectify the problems we've had the
last week or so. Hardware is being upgraded as quickly
as possible (you don't buy high-end router upgrades at
your local computer store, you know :)
I think overall our downtime has been VERY minimal,
especially in the last couple of months. I realize though
that's it's still very frustrating to not be able to play one
night when you were planning on it, and we apologize for
the inconvenience.
